Admissions for September 2027
Pupils Admissions – The closing date for Year 7 September 2027 is 31st October 2026
If you apply after this date, it can severely reduce your chances of obtaining a place at our school.

Important dates:
1st September 2026 – Apply from this date
School places are not allocated on a first come, first served basis. All applications received up to the closing date are given equal priority, but if you miss the deadline, a late application may reduce your chance of getting your preference of school.
31st October 2026 – National closing date for secondary applications (statutory).
During this period all applications are processed, and all preferences are considered against the published admissions policy. Where there are more applications than places available, decisions are made as to which children should be offered the available places. We will liaise and exchange information with all other admission authorities including neighbouring local authorities. The allocation and offer of a secondary school place is finalised.
3rd March 2026 – Offers issued to parents
(The national offer date is 1st March, if this date falls on a weekend or a bank holiday, offers are sent the next working day.)
Families who are not successful in securing their chosen secondary school for their child, when notified in March, can opt to be included on a waiting list for Year 7 and /or begin the appeals process. The closing date for appeals for Year 7 place September 2027 is 22nd March 2026.
Late Applications
Late applications received after the closing date of 31st October will only be considered after all the on-time applications have been considered and allocated places. A late application will not affect the right of appeal or the right to be placed on the waiting list.
In-Year Applications
These are co-ordinated by the local authority.

In-year applications will be considered when they are received and places will be offered if they are available. In the event that more applications are received at the same time than
there are places available, then the applications will be ranked under the published oversubscription and places offered accordingly. Where in year admissions exceed the number that the school can manage in any one half term the admission will be considered in the following half term.
