Nigel Haworth visited Witton Park Academy demonstrating some recipes.
Nigel was a brilliant inspiration to the GCSE students this morning, many who are interested in pursuing a career in catering and hospitality. He gave a quick run though his own career path before doing interactive demonstrations on how to make Lancashire Cheese Souffle, garnished with quenelles of pickled beetroot relish and finished with fresh herbs. The second dish was Cabbage and shellfish fondue, putting cabbage centre stage. Students learned how to use key skills that will be needed for their GCSE assessments along with presentation skills. The students all really enjoyed the experience of meeting such a highly respected and prominent chef, as well as learning how to make and present the delicious foods. It was a really valuable and memorable experience and we are very grateful for this opportunity.[envira-gallery id=”4850″]
