Supporting Save the Children – Gaza Appeal: A Remarkable Fundraising Effort at Witton Park Academy

9 February, 2024

At Witton Park Academy, our commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond the classroom. Recently, we embarked on a heartfelt initiative to support the ‘Save the Children – Gaza Appeal,’ and the response from our school community was truly remarkable.

Our students, driven by compassion and a desire to help those in need, took the lead in organising fundraising activities. One such initiative involved the creation and sale of sweet cones within the school premises. The enthusiasm and dedication of our pupils were truly commendable as they worked tirelessly to contribute to this worthy cause.

We are thrilled to announce that the amount raised was absolutely fantastic, exceeding all expectations. This achievement showcases the generosity and solidarity of our school community, highlighting the collective effort and commitment of everyone involved.

A special thank you goes to our Y10 Ambassadors and Y11 Senior Prefect team for their leadership and initiative in spearheading this fundraising campaign. Their dedication served as an inspiration to their peers and played a significant role in the success of the initiative.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Patel and Mrs. Adam for their invaluable support and guidance throughout the entire process. Their commitment to the cause ensured the smooth execution of the fundraising activities, contributing to the overall success of the campaign.

Together, we have demonstrated the power of empathy and compassion in making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a school, we are immensely proud of our students and staff for their unwavering commitment to supporting those in need.

Moving forward, we remain dedicated to fostering a culture of kindness, empathy, and social responsibility within our school community. Through initiatives like the ‘Save the Children – Gaza Appeal,’ we continue to instil values of compassion and solidarity in our students, empowering them to become caring global citizens.

Once again, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible effort. Your generosity and compassion have made a significant difference in the lives of those affected by the crisis in Gaza.

Together, let us continue to make a positive impact and spread hope and support to those in need.
