Ski Trip, Austria, 10-17/2/18

14 February, 2018

At time of writing, students from four year groups are spending their half-term on the slopes of Zillertal in Austria, in the company of Mr Smith, Mrs Waite and Mr Coleman.

Mr Smith writes:

Sunday…Arrived in the gorgeous hotel after a tiring journey. Picked up skis and boots up, got our lift passes, had a walk around the little village and got ourselves organised for our first day skiing.

Monday. .. Up the gondola to meet our instructors Ivor and Lou for the week. The weather is snowy and cold and the pupils persevere with the basic skills through some quite rough snowy weather. Break time filled with bum-sliding and snowball fights. Pupils are tired and sore, but determined.

Tuesday… What a day! Kids are in really good spirits after showing some brilliant skills on the sunny slopes. Smiles all round. Busy day on the slopes and straight to bowling where some questionable bowling actions were on show.
