Students who opted for a GCSE in Catering had a wonderful opportunity to see how a commercial kitchen works at Accrington and Rossendale College.

The task was to work in pairs to create a pizza of their own in just 2 hours. The students were a little overwhelmed by the size of the kitchen and unsure of the equipment. They soon overcame these issues when they started and got stuck into the practical making. They worked quickly and efficiently, cleaning as they went along to keep a clean work space.

Below are some pictures of the students hard at work in the kitchen, watched by Jack the Tutor, and of their pieces de resistance. Mouth-watering you will agree!
